we made an offer on a house

As you may know, we have been looking to buy a house. We made an offer on a house a few weeks ago that was not accepted. We saw another house that we liked in the same neighborhood and made an offer yesterday. Both houses are foreclosures. We received a counter offer from the bank today and we are still trying to decide if we are going to accept or counter the counter. It is a 4 bed/ 2.5 bath, 2000 sq ft house on a 6000 sq ft lot. Here are some pictures.

Here are some pictures from our weekend with Christy & family at the cabin. William really enjoyed the snow and his new skis.

Poison Canyon 2/21/09

We made a big tour up out of the SnowPark so Nancy could try out her new Scarpa T3 boots. It was a beautiful tour but the snow was very windblown and crusty. We did find one slope that had some nice snow but by then Nancy's shin had been rubbed raw by her new boots :-( . We headed back earlier than usual and stopped at Christy's.

More pics from Van Vleck

Here are some more pictures. The group picture was taken on our way out with the camera balanced on my ski poles. The picture from inside shows the "living room." You can see the bunkhouse in the picture of the meadow if you look closely.

Trip Report: Van Vleck Bunkhouse

Dave, Nancy, Andy, Carrie, Larry, and Nina skied to Van Vleck Bunkhouse Feb. 1st to 3rd. Dave and Nancy drove from Santa Cruz, Andy and Carrie drove from Camp Connell, and Larry and Nina came from Lake Tahoe after Larry skied a race that morning. Larry and Nina didn't arrive at the bunkhouse until 8pm, skiing in the dark!

The bunkhouse was supposed to have running water and a flush toilet, but apparently the spring feeding the water system is dry. We melted snow the first night, and then found a water hole in the creek the next day.
